Carole Malone slams government for “forever clobbering people in their 60s”


In 2011 the British Government increased state pension age for women in a move to achieve equality for men and women by 2020.

The increase had 3.8 million British working women see their pension age move to 65, postponing their retirement by five years.

Ms Malone said: “I had no idea about these pension changes and I’m one of the lucky ones. I knew about it two years ago.

“I’m one of the lucky ones in that I’m still working. I just think this government and previous ones they’re forever clobbering people in their 60s.”
